How To Put Music On The PSP

So you've got a new Sony Playstation Portable and you just cant figure out
how to get the music thats stored on your Windows PC to your Sony PSP unit. 
Dont fret!! I'm here to tell you how to put music on your psp. 
Listed below are the steps that you will need to follow in order to accomplish this task.

* Connect your Sony Playstation Portable device to your computer using a USB device .
* Find the "Home" button, located on the lower left of the screen on your PSP and press it. 
Next you will need to use the left-right directional buttons to locate "Settings", 
then you need to use the up-down buttons to find the "USB Connection" option. 

This is on your PSP (For anyone thats forgotten what piece of equipment were working with at 
the moment).

* You'll now want to press the "X" button, once you do this your PSP will display "USB Connection"
 or at least it should.





* Your computer should now be letting you know that a new USB device has been connected.
 If you don't see this right away, don't panic, just give your computer a few moments to recognize
 the connection. When your computer recognizes the USB connection it will show 
you a generic hard drive, possibly labled E: or F:

* Simply click on the drive unit that matches the PSP unit.
* Next step is to create a new folder on that drive and give it a name. 
I would recommend naming this folder "psp".

* Open up the new "psp folder" and create another folder and name it "music" or 
whatever suits you.
* Copy the mp3 files (from your computer) that you want to add to your psp 
unit into the new folder that you created and named "music".
* When your done copying your music, press the "O" button on 
the PSP unit to get out of the USB mode.

That's all there is to it. Now you can listen to your music on your PSP unit. 
All you have to do is use the left-right arrows to move to the music area, 
then the up-down arrows to find "Memory Stick". Press the "X" button to choose that folder and voila,
 all of your music should be available for your listening pleasure.

One thing about the PSP that you need to keep in mind is if your PSP is running older firmware aka 
operating system, then you will have to convert all of your music to MP3 format. 
Older PSP firmware does not support Windows Media formats such as WMA & WMV.
